Nick was raised in the trades and has had a passion for tile setting since a young age. He has been in the tile industry for 5 years and established M.S.M LLC in 2021.

Our Project Process

  • First Contact

    The first phase of starting a project is reaching out, which can be done by texting, calling, emailing, or clicking the button below!

    In this phase, the things needed are

    -Rough measurements of the space

    -Pictures of the area

    -What kind of tile/ size

    -Are there patterns?

    From these four things, you will receive a rough estimate via text or email

  • In-Person Meeting

    If the rough estimate is within budget, we move to phase two. This phase involves an in-house meeting where we go over and finalize the plans. During this meeting, you will receive a formal invoice which will include the exact price of the project. This meeting will end with signing the Invoice and depositing 10% of the total price to reserve a start date for the project.

  • Installation Phase

    The installation phase is the most fulfilling to get to. This phase is where dreams are brought to reality and real headway is made. During this phase, you will see progress being made in your home at the end of every day.

  • Final Walkthrough

    This phase is the final of the four. In the final walkthrough, we look over the entire project together. If there are any questions, this is the perfect time to ask. At the end of the meeting, I will provide links to review pages where you will be able to let others in the community know about your experience working with us!

    Nick of Mitten State Maintenance was an absolute life saver who restored our faith in tradesmen after a disastrous experience with our bathroom-remodel contractor. Nick is thoughtful, professional, courteous, kind, detail-oriented, and incredibly skilled and talented. He took on our job and quickly righted the ship when things were going downhill. Nick installed a heated tile floor, a custom shower surround in vertically stacked subway tile, and a beautiful half-wall backsplash with a penny-tile ledge behind our bathroom sinks. The design was very custom and Nick worked out all the complicated math to make the very graphic design really sing. It looks gorgeous. We loved having him around so much that we brought him back to do a second bathroom. For that one, he engineered a wet-room with a beautiful soaking tub and separate zero-entry shower. Getting the flooring right to accommodate the two separate drains and keep the rest of the space dry took lots of thoughtful, detailed planning. Nick made every job look gorgeous, so polished and perfect, and finished on schedule. I appreciate his consideration and communication. Would recommend him to anybody — and have! He deserves to succeed, and we need more businesses like his in Burlington. We’re figuring out what we can tile next, just to have him around. Can’t rave about him or his work enough.
